1. Full Membership.
Full Membership shall be open to owners of Austin Healey Sprites, MG Midgets and their derivatives. Full members have voting rights. Where there is joint ownership of a Sprite or Midget, only one owner would be eligible to vote. Members from this type of membership would be the only members eligible to hold the position of President or Vice President. Full Members would be eligible to apply for Concessional Queensland Registration for their vehicle.
2. Family Membership.
Family membership shall be open to partners of Full Members, and their dependent children under 18 years of age. Family Members need not own or drive an Austin Healey Sprite, MG Midget or their derivatives. Family Members do not have voting rights. If a Family Member wishes to compete in the Racing or wishes to vote, they are required to join the Club as a Full Member or Associate Member. Family Members are eligible to hold a committee position except for President or Vice President. Family Members who hold a committee position are eligible to vote. Family Members are not required to pay membership fees to the Club. Once a Family Member's child turns 18, they would be required to join the club as an Associate Member, unless they own a Sprite or Midget, in which case they would join as a Full Member. Family Members would be eligible to apply for Concessional Queensland Registration for their vehicle, on a case-by-case basis.
3 A. Associate Members who have previously been full members of this club.
This type of Associate Membership shall be open to previous Full Members who no longer own an Austin Healey Sprite or MG Midget, but who wish to remain active in the Club. Associate Members are eligible to hold a committee position except for President or Vice President. Associate Members who hold a committee position are eligible to vote. Associate Members would automatically become Full Members upon ownership of a Sprite or Midget. Fees for this type of membership will be the same as for Full Members. Associate Members would be eligible to apply for Concessional Queensland Registration for their vehicle, on a case-by-case basis.
3 B. Associate Membership.
This type of Associate Membership is open to people who express an interest in Sprites or Midgets, but who do not currently own a Sprite or Midget. New Associate Membership application forms shall include a section for the applicant to explain their reasons for wanting to join the Club. Applications for this type of Associate Membership will be considered by the committee before being accepted. This type of membership may be subject to annual review by the committee. Associate Members will not be eligible to vote, but Associate Members are eligible to hold a committee position except for President or Vice President. Associate Members who hold a committee position are eligible to vote. Associate Members would automatically become Full Members upon ownership of a Sprite or Midget. Fees for this type of membership will be the same as for Full Members. Associate Members would be eligible to apply for Concessional Queensland Registration for their vehicle, on a case-by-case basis.
4. Life Membership.
Life Membership carries the same prerequisites as Full Membership without the requirement of annual renewal fees. Life membership shall be awarded to a member who has contributed extra ordinary service to the Club. Nomination can be by any club member and approved by a majority vote of the Committee. Life Members have voting rights. Life Members would be eligible to apply for Concessional Registration for their vehicle.
5. Honorary Membership.
Honorary Membership shall be awarded to a person in a position of the utmost importance to the marque. Nomination can be by any club member and approved by a unanimous vote of the Committee.
Honorary Members do not have voting rights.
6. Temporary Membership.
Temporary Members can attend up to 2 Social events with the Club. After 2 events, Temporary Members must either join the Club or stop attending runs. Temporary Members must fill out the required form to ensure cover by our Insurance. If Temporary members decide to join the Club they are bound by the rules of Membership.
7. Special Invited Guests.
Special Invited Guests may attend a Club run up to 2 times a year. Special Invited Guests must fill out the required form to ensure cover by our Insurance.
To comply with Insurance regulations, only Club Members, Temporary Members, Special Invited Guests and other Invited Clubs can attend a Club Social Run. However, Club Members are permitted to bring a passenger that is not a club member, as long as they sign the Club Social Run Form, and are not in charge of the vehicle, unless exceptional circumstances arise.
